Reading Recommendation

Middle School Makeover by Michelle Icard is a wonderful resource for parents and anybody who is working with a middle school student. As stated from the book: “ Upon entering Middle School, children embark on a major construction project to build the three things they need to become adults: a grown-up body, a mature brain, and a unique identity. Middle School Makeover guides you in helping the tweens in your life grow into their emerging selves and navigate the changing social scene in a way that builds their confidence. Practical solutions are offered to the most common issues that middle schoolers and their mentors face including social media use, dating, bullying and peer exclusion, and other dilemmas."
