How Can Your School Counselor Help?
Students are encouraged to visit the School Counseling Office anytime they are free: before school, after school, during lunch, HIVE or a study hall. Students should not miss a class in order to see their counselor unless it is a emergency! If the counselor is unavailable when the student stops in, they will be directed to fill out a "request slip" with a brief note explaining the request. The student will be called down as soon as possible after receiving the request slip. Parents are encouraged to call or email their son or daughter's School Counselor anytime they have a question or need assistance with an issue their child may be facing academically, socially or emotionally. Our door is always open!

A Note on Confidentiality

However, counselors are required by law to contact other appropriate adults if a situation arises that puts someone in physical or emotional harm.
